Of all the firefighter's in the country 70% are volunteer. 

85% of all fire Districts and Departments are volunteer.

Our Fire District is volunteer with the exception of the Chief and two full-time paid staff. Additionally, in the summer we hire 2 full-time seasonal firefighter's to help with calls and wildland fires.
